Inspired by the principles of cymatics, where vibration gives rise to structure, Cymatix treats sound as a material to be shaped. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, rhythm, texture, and energy are carefully sculpted into immersive experiences that extend beyond the music itself.

BIOGRAPHY

Originally a duo from Ipswich, UK, Cymatix has been involved in the Drum & Bass scene since the start. Under the influence of other local producers, such as Digital, Spirit, Klute and Photek to name but a few, Cymatix began producing in the late 1990s carefully honing their craft with some early vinyl releases that followed this collaboration. To be closer to the scene and legendary Drum & Bass nights like Renegade Hardware at The End, Cymatix de-camped to London. Collaborations with INK soon followed, resulting in releases on Renegade Hardware. Following a long break from music, Cymatix returned to the studio, and found a natural home as part of the Architecture Recordings family.

Heavy beats, melodic atmospherics and rolling bass lines are all synonymous with the Cymatix sound, which are a natural complement to the many collaborations with INK.

With a series of releases on the label, 2026 culminated in Cymatix's debut Unfinished Business LP. With a renewed energy, this is only the start. Look out for much more Cymatix music to come.
